Can You Use OSAP to Pay for Beauty School in Ontario?

Yes — but only at registered private career colleges that meet Ontario's eligibility requirements. Not every beauty school qualifies. Gina's College of Advanced Aesthetics is a registered Ontario career college, which means students enrolled in qualifying diploma programs can apply for OSAP funding to help cover tuition and living costs.

If you're comparing schools and wondering which ones actually qualify for government financial aid, this is your starting point.

What Is OSAP and How Does It Work?

OSAP — the Ontario Student Assistance Program — provides grants and loans to eligible students. Grants don't need to be repaid. Loans are repaid after you finish your program. The amount you receive depends on your financial situation, your family income, and whether you're a dependent or independent student.

In the 2024–25 school year, over 490,000 Ontario students received OSAP funding. For many beauty school students, OSAP covers a significant portion of their tuition.

Which Programs at Gina's College Are OSAP-Eligible?

The following diploma programs at Gina's College qualify for OSAP funding:

  • Advanced Aesthetics Diploma — Full CIDESCO-accredited esthetics training
  • Medical Aesthetics Diploma — Advanced skin, laser, and clinical treatments
  • Hairstyling Diploma — Complete hairdressing program
  • Electrolysis and Light Technology Diploma — Permanent hair removal certification

Certificate programs may not qualify. For the most current list, contact Gina's College admissions directly at admissions@ginascollege.com or (905) 602-5353.
